Description:

The obverse retains the timeless "Walking Liberty" design by Adolph A. Weinman, an image first used on U.S. half dollars from 1916 to 1947. It depicts Lady Liberty draped in the American flag, walking confidently toward the rising sun with oak and laurel branches in hand, representing peace and strength.

The reverse features Emily Damstra's bold type 2 eagle design. The eagle appears in full descent, wings outstretched, clutching an oak branch, a symbol of honor and endurance. This updated image replaces the original heraldic eagle design used from 1986 through 2021, giving the Silver Eagle a fresh, modern perspective while preserving its patriotic legacy.

The 2025 Silver Eagle also incorporates enhanced security measures introduced with the Type 2 redesign, including a variation of the reeded edge to deter counterfeiting and confirm authenticity.
